Tackle it Tuesday - My Schedule
Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Taking on my personal tackle challenge from last week, I finished my MOTH schedule and am quite pleased. I imagine that in another month or so, once the kinks need to be reworked, the schedule will change a bit, but for now, I am as "pleased as punch." Obviously, once my little girl arrives, things will drastically change. Mrs. Maxwell advices feeding on schedule; I prefer not to do that and so I feed on demand. We will have to see how I can work that. I do love how this schedule is actually giving me more time with my children -think quantity time, instead of quality time! All time with one's own children should be considered quality time, don't you think? The schedule hangs up in Mama Russell's Central Office, aka "the Kitchen," and is easily accessible for viewing by any member of the family.

I was also able to buy most of my cloth diapering supplies at Joann. I still need to order some Aplix and I want to splurge a little and buy some cute girlie fabric for the outside of the dipes. Pictures coming soon!

For this week's tackle, I will take on these items from my to-do list:

  • Thoroughly clean all baseboards.
  • Find a science book or program for Kindergarten. Decide on other areas of interest to add into the curriculum.
  • Clean out and organize pantry.
For more tackles, visit 5 minutes for Mom!

In His grace,

Baseboards, yes, I need to do that too. Thank you for the reminder!

I'm very impressed with your to do list in the left column as well. You are very organized!

Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

sounds like a great tackle. I made cloth diapers a few years back with my #2. I loved them! i would have continued if I could have kept up with the luandry (I had 3 in diapers shortly there after!)

Katie - Hi! I know schedules are not for everyone, but I think they are great. Even a loose schedule (which are the best, I think!) is so very helpful in managing the time God has given us wisely.

Robin - Thank you!

the160acrewoods - I love cloth diapers. I just need to get them done. I sure am motivated by all of the cute girlie fabrics out there. :-)

We use cloth diapers, too....but I don't sew my own because I'm not that talented. Instead I try to purchase dipes from WAHM and support them.

Good luck with your tackle today! Hope you get at least one of them done, if not all. :-)

I organized and cleaned my pantry a couple of weeks ago, still very happy with it!
Thx for dropping by at my place!
Good luck with the baby!

Your schedule looks so pretty, with all the colors. I need to get back on my schedule too. We have been without it for a year and I feel it every day. I am sure you will be able to get many things accomplished with your schedule in place.

Blogger Mama Russell said...

Amy - I have only ever bought them as well, but with my new passion for sewing I feel that I would love to try them myself!

jientje - thanks! We are so looking forward to our little girl's arrival.

the happy housewife - I am loving the schedule, though it will take some getting used to. Thank you for stopping by!

Wow! I won't show you my scheduler or my organizer. It's kinda scary. I will share my sunflowers though. :D

I wish I could be that organized. Good luck with the new baby!

Can I just steal the list in your sidebar and modify it for my life?

Congratulations on your new little girl! I agree, I hate referring to the baby as "it". It's so much fun to call our little guy by name, and to hear my 2 1/2 year old talk about her baby brother.

thanks for visiting my tackle!

Thanks for stopping by (and voting!)! Happy Tackle it Tuesday!

Your schedule looks great! Good luck on the rest of your tackles!
And cloth diapering...cool! I didn't cloth diaper, but I would if I had to do it all again. The internet has some great resources and message boards about it!

Great tackle! Schedules help you stay organized and are a great motivator.

Apron queen - this is the first schedule I dare show. :-)

Rachel - thank you! I know it will be such a blessing to have a baby in the house.

Lauren - steal away! :-) I loved your blog. It is nice to visit other gals who are pregnant at the same time I am.

Niki - thank you! I am trying very hard every day to become more organized. It is by God's grace that I am as organized as I am. :-)

Marni - Hi! :-)

Karen - cloth diapering is great. They are so much easier and cuter than they were when I was a baby.

Morning rose - yep, hopefully I will change for the good with this schedule.

I like your schedules. I am the same way. It is so cool that you use cloth diapers. I did with my first child too.

That's a good list my dear, and a nice schedule, I am sure it will be very handy.

Be sure to stop by my blog for the new button codes and a giveaway :o)

Hopefully we'll see you next week.

You did a wonderful job on your schedule, it brings back wonderful memories of when I used the same system!
Sorry I haven't taken so long to get back to you about the hankie! I haven't found the perfect material for them yet. I like the thin delicate fabric that old ones are made from but I just used regular cotton fabric for this one.
Hugs,
Kelli
