Tackle it Tuesday and A Jumble of Thoughts
Tackle It Tuesday Meme

My tackle for today is nothing grand. I have laundry to wash, dry, fold and put away. I have a shopping list to put together for our trip. And yes, I desperately need to clean off the stove! A very simple tackle today, yet definitely needs to get done! I like those simple tackles, though . . .

For more tackles, visit 5 Minutes for Mom.

I woke up this morning to little kicks coming from my womb. My little one, my sweet babe, was exercising early. Those precious reminders of the new life I have been blessed with made my day begin with joy.

********************************************************************

I have been struggling with feelings of worry and doubt over a certain matter and while reading Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot last night, I was convicted by her constant plea to "Give it all to God." I am unsure as to why I have not been hit so hard by this fact until now, but I have been turning aside all of my worries over what has been occupying my mind and have given them to the Lord. One of the phrases that have come up repeatedly while I pray is "Lord, I cannot do it by myself!" How much more peaceful my life would be if I would just remember that . . . I would love to know what specific Scriptures you use to remind yourself that we must rely on God and not man (or ourselves!) Please let me know in comments.

How can I pray for you, my guests? Leave in comments any prayer requests. My aunt's husband was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. They are still trying to determine which kind it is (apparently there are over 30 types). If you would, please pray for this family!

In His grace,

Great post. I can't name a specific Scripture that comes to mind when I need to remind myselt to rely on God. What I do is, I stop! I close my eyes for a moment and just feel myself breathe. I let it all leave my body with an exhale and I go on in new spirits. That is when I know, God will make it right.

That doesn't sounds simple to me. That's a lot of work. And the days when I can get everything on my "simple" list done is a good day. Good luck with it all! :)

You have alot of tackling going on! I finally finished mine, but now the regular housework needs to be done, ugh!

I always loved feeling little baby kicks while I was pg...nothing like it in the world! A true blessing!

It is hard to remember to just hand our troubles over to God when we are natural worriers,lol....I always try to remind myself that things aren't in my hands and will work out the way He sees fit!

Have a wonderful day!

Matthew 6:27: "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" I carry this one in my head all the time.
